Sub-Series Scope and Contents

From the Sub-Series:

This sub-series contains the literary works of Robert L. Forward that were selected for binding in book form by Dr. Forward. The volumes are comprised of draft versions of Forward's science-fiction and non-fiction writings. The bulk of the manuscripts are heavily copyedited by Dr. Forward and/or publishing staff. Many manuscripts are also autographed by Forward and, occasionally, co-authors. All copyedits and autographs were made by Dr. Forward unless otherwise noted. Bylines are provided exclusively for co-authored works, works by other authors, and works citing more than one creative role.

Dr. Forward frequently inscribed his manuscripts with brief, contextual descriptions regarding the publication or revision of the work in hand. For those items containing such annotations, pertinent information is transcribed in a supplementary note.

"Original of manuscript accepted by Avon in April. One last edit to correct minor errors and typos. 0930 PDT 27 May 1986 on Flight TWA 38 to Philadelphia to present paper on interstellar beamed power spacecraft at AAAS meeting. (Isaac Asimov is on same program.).

Black pen marks were those found on 23-24 March before sending to publisher. Purple pen marks are corrections made on AAAS trip. Green pen marks are changes suggested by Charles Sheffield inserted on 1 June 1986. Red marks are insertion of Figure information on 14 June 1986."
