This collection contains correspondence from numerous British artists during the 19th and early 20th century received and collected by British painter Edith Hipkins. The majority of the correspondence consists of personal letters sent to Hipkins and her father, musician Alfred J. Hipkins. Some letters in the collection also include sketches, portraits, prints of wood engravings by Edith's brother John Hipkins, and notes handwritten by Edith on the correspondent.
