This series is comprised of notes, correspondence, press clippings, photographs, and other material collected by Smith as he researched the history of mining operations at Mount Slover in Colton, California. Topics included in the series are Isaac Slover and family, the California Portland Cement Company, the history of California and San Bernardino County, and expeditions to the southwestern United States.
