Collection Background

The materials in this collection were previously a part of the Sadakichi Hartmann papers (MS 068), part of them were in the processed portion of the collection and some were in the unprocessed portion. Upon surveying the Hartmann papers and creating a processing plan in late 2018 and early 2019 several collections were identified under the umbrella of MS 068. After thorough deliberation, SCUA staff concluded that the disperate collections would be separated and processed. This led to the creation of the Lillian Bonham papers as a distinct collection.
