Series Scope and Contents
This series is comprised of both bound and disassembled scrapbooks pertaining to the early history and establishment of the Citrus Experiment Station (CES), citrus research, the citrus industry, citrus fruit recipes, and CES faculty, events, and facilities. Scrapbooks contain memorandums, clippings, programs, and other material. Scrapbooks located in boxes 31-36 may have belonged to CES publications editor Francis Hayes, whose signature is inscribed on many of the materials within them. Clippings regarding UC Riverside faculty and the establishment of UC Riverside as a university are also included.
