Biographical Note

Gordon Richard Bradford (1918-2011) worked at the University of California Riverside as an analytical soil chemist from 1949-1991, starting in the Department of Soils & Plant Nutrition, which was later part of the Department of Environmental Sciences. He specialized in trace element analysis of water and soil using spectroscopic methods. Prior to his work at UC Riverside, he was employed as a meteorologist for the Army Air Corps.
