The title of this item was supplied by Lippincott in a handwritten photo album caption. It reflects a racist place name that was in use at the time the item was created. The bend referenced was approximately 5 miles below the Lower Mexican Heading on the Colorado River. The Imperial Canal was also known as the Alamo Canal.
