Elder Creek and Deer Creek levees, Tehama County, California, 1997

 File — Box: 1

Collection Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

Heavy storms occurring in northern California during December 1996 and January 1997 produced a large amount of runoff that caused extensive damage to levees under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps), Sacramento District. Under Public Law 84-99 (PL 84-99), the Corps proposed the Levee Rehabilitation Project, which would restore damaged levees to pre-flood conditions, and to increase the level of flood protection for each levee.

This collection consists of Environmental Assessments (EA) and Findings of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the proposed project sites.
