Collection Scope and Contents

The collection consists of materials related to Microbial and Disinfection Byproducts Rules (MDBPs) published by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which regulate drinking water exposure to disinfection byproducts.

Part of the collection is related to multiple advisory groups and committees set up to advise the EPA on updating the regulations, and includes correspondence, research, meeting minutes, impact anal yses, and reports.

The remainder of the collection contains legal documents, research and correspondence related to two court cases, Baker v. Motorola Inc. and Lofgren v. Motorola Inc., that concerned allegations of byproducts causing contaminated drinking water in the Phoenix, Arizona area.
