Abstract

The collection consists of correspondence; technical reports on various aspects of irrigation; reports and surveys of specific irrigation projects throughout California, and in Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, and North Dakota; and miscellaneous material relating to water costs and requirements, water rights, groundwater and surface water supply, flood control, legislation, dendroclimatology, enclosed lakes, and the Central Valley Project and Feather River Project in California.

Collection Scope and Contents

This collection contains reports, correspondence, documents, maps, photographs, clippings, etc., pertaining to projects in hydraulics, sanitation, irrigation, municipal water supply, surface water and groundwater hydrology, and soil in California and other Western states, particularly for the City of Los Angeles regarding water supply from the Owens Valley.

Collection Scope and Contents Collection of 3 x 5.5-in. black-and-white photographic prints taken by Charles H. Lee, covering a wide range of water resources development projects in California and New Mexico in which Lee was involved. Major projects documented include the construction of the Los Angeles Aqueduct, construction of various dams and reservoirs in San Diego County and other Southern California locations, water development in Inyo County and Mono County, and construction of Elephant Butte Dam in New Mexico....
