Fawcett, a University of California, Riverside professor and noted pioneer in phytopathology. The bulk of the papers consist of writings and research related to citrus diseases.

The George A. Zentmyer papers is a collection of newsletters, monographs, and magazines related to UC Riverside professor emeritus George A. Zentmyer’s research on phytophtoras, which are a genus of plant-damaging molds that can cause damage to crops and natural ecosystems. The collection also includes obituaties for Zentmyer, and a booklet from his funeral service in 2003.
