Abstract
The collection consists of a scrapbook compiled by John L. Davies, a steam shovel operator who worked on the construction of the Panama Canal for six years. The scrapbooks contains photographs of the construction of the Panama Canal, along with personal photographs of the Davies family in Panama. Also included in the scrapbook are clippings of news articles, mostly documenting various speaking engagements held by Davies to discuss his experiences working on the Canal and living in Panama.

The collection consists of a scrapbook containing 224 photographs and other items from Charles Maurice and Bertha R. Stype, documenting their life and travels during the early 1900s. Many of the photographs depict their life and work in the Panama Canal Zone, where Charles worked on the construction of the Panama Canal from 1905-1906.
