The collection consists of correspondence, reports, legislation, and memoranda concerning the diversion of water from the Klamath and Trinity Rivers into the Sacramento Valley, California.

The collection contains the Historic American Engineering Record (HAER) documentation for the Friant-Kern Canal located in Fresno, Tulare, and Kern Counties in California. The documentation, which includes a written report, photographs, drawings, and negatives, was compiled by Stantec Consulting Services on behalf of the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation in 2021.

The collection consists of correspondence, addresses, reports, and press releases on land settlement and irrigation projects in the Western States, Australia, and Mexico.
