Biographical Note
A pioneer plant biochemist, Walton B. Sinclair first began his work in Riverside at the Citrus Experiment Station in 1932. He focused his research on the biochemistry of citrus fruits, and among many other achievements his work was used to develop the legal standards for marketing in the California citrus industry. He is also known for his monographs on citrus, which became standard reference materials for the study of fruits like the lemon, orange, and grapefruit.
He was a Professor Emeritus in Biochemistry at UC Riverside, and served as Chairman of the Department of Biochemistry until his retirement in 1968.

This collection contains publications written and co-written by Walton B. Sinclair, a pioneer plant biochemist who worked at the Citrus Experiment Station in Riverside beginning in 1932 and was a Professor Emeritus of Biochemistry at the University of California, Riverside.
