Series Scope and Contents

The series contains documents and photographs pertaining to Blake Gumprecht's book The Los Angeles River. Included are correspondence regarding advertising, publication, and editing of the book. Blake Gumprecht's presentations regarding water resousources as well as the guidelines and original ideas for his thesis are available. His trip to Los Angeles and in 1999 and the research from that trip are noted consisting of photographs, receipts, and tickets. There is also information of different organizations pertaining to water conservation and protection such as the Los Angeles and San Gabriel Rivers Watershed Council and the Friends of the Los Angeles River (FOLAR).
